NiCo Electro is an electronic downtempo collaboration between Nilusha Dassenaike (vocals/keys) and Colin Snape  (keys/programming).

Their sound has been described as fusing contemporary electronic, pop, cinematic soundscapes and traditional Sri Lankan folk music.

Nilusha Dassenaike is a Sri Lankan-born Australian singer and composer who weaves her south Asian musical and spiritual roots into her compositions, along with extended vocal techniques, electronics, and improvisation. She has released four albums to critical acclaim and has toured her original music projects throughout Australia, Mexico, Cuba, Sri Lanka, Singapore and more. She is the musical coordinator for The Resistance Revival Chorus and has performed on The Tonight Show, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Centre, The Apollo and performed with the likes of Patti Smith, Iggy Pop, Natalie Merchant and Angelique Kidjo.          

Colin Snape is an award winning programmer, producer and musician whose studio credits include music production on multiple platinum selling albums such as ‘Dami Im’ and ‘Samantha Jade’ among many others. He is also a music producer and programmer for television shows such as – Name That Tune, The Masked Singer, Dancing With The Stars, X-Factor, Australia’s Got Talent, The Logies (the Australian National Television Awards). Colin’s compositional and producing work with Julie O’Hara was recognized by the Australian Songwriters Association (winner ‘Electronic Music’ category) and ARIA (Australian Recording Industry Association) nominations for ‘Release Me’ sung by Zoe Badwi and ‘The Others’ performed by Dukes of Windsor VS TV Rock.
